First-Time Entry, Zero Expectations — Then Boom!
I walked into the Wedding Industry Awards ceremony last year with one simple plan: have a good time, meet some fellow photographers, maybe grab a drink or two. Winning? Not on my radar.
The East of England category was stacked - five photographers got highly commended, all absolute legends with killer portfolios. When my name wasn’t among those, I figured my night was done. Then came the shocker: I won East of England Wedding Photographer of the Year 2025. No joke.
What Winning Really Means - East of England Wedding Photographer of the Year 2025
This trophy isn’t just a shiny thing on a shelf. It’s a middle finger to the idea that you have to play it safe to succeed. It’s proof that doing my own thing, shooting weddings the way I want, mixing style with fun and a bit of chaos actually pays off.
It’s the nod that my weird, sometimes quirky approach has a place in this industry. And if that means pushing boundaries, breaking rules, and occasionally making people laugh (or cringe), then yeah, I’m all in.

How It’s Changing My Game
Since that win, I’ve been riding this wave of confidence hard. It’s not about resting on laurels or sticking to the same old routine. It’s about levelling up, trying new things, learning more, and stretching my style to places it’s never been before.
I’m dialling up the creativity, experimenting with fresh ideas, and aiming to give every couple photos that don’t just document a day, but tell a story they actually want to look back on.

What’s Next? (Spoiler: I’m Back for 2026)
This win? It’s just the start. I’ve already thrown my hat back in the ring for the 2026 Wedding Industry Awards, ready to push even harder, shoot even bolder, and show up with a whole new level of work.
To every couple who’s trusted me so far, cheers for being part of this ride. And if you’re thinking about booking an award-winning photographer who doesn’t do boring, let’s chat.
