Hi, I'm Craig

All about me..... a wedding photographer in Norfolk.

I'm 36, married and have a gorgeous son living just outside Norwich in Brooke.

I like coffee, definitely with a brownie and taking pictures.

My first interest in photography was going out taking landscape images as a hobby and really enjoyed travelling around Norfolk capturing the wonders of the county, windmills, lighthouses, seascapes, sunsets and sunrises, although not too many sunrises.

I absolutely love weddings, whether I'm a guest or shooting one so the one thing I can guarantee is that I'm enthusiastic and thriving to document your day in an authentic and real style that you can relive over and over again! I love telling a story through images, capturing those small moments that are so special. These are the genuine emotions that make you feel them over & over each time you view your album.

I'd love to hear from you whether it's just a chat or if you're planning a wedding and interested in what I do!

In the meantime have a read of some recent weddings from my blog, FAQ's and have a laugh at some pictures of my crazy family...

Hi, I'm Craig

Most Important, what's your favorite coffee?

Has to be a decent mocha!

Regular or large?

Do we need to feed you on the day?

I'm not going to lie but this is a lovely gesture and is always accepted with thanks. Remember that I am up just as early as you guys and working all day and into the night, we need energy ;-) I don't ask my couples to feed me so if I don't get a menu choice I'll stop off at a garage in the morning to load up.

What cameras do you use?

I started out using Canon but in 2020 I switched to Sony A7iii bodies. Best decision ever.

What lenses do you have?

Good question, so I'm a prime lens shooter meaning they're a fixed focal length. I zoom in and out with my feet. I have a 35mm and an 85mm. The 85mm is my absolute fav although my next purchase will be a 70-200mm zoom.

Do you offer engagement shoots? (pre wedding shoot)

Yes if you're up for it. This is a great way for us all to find out more about each other and to get comfortable in front of the camera. It's just an hour or two of being really casual and a little lovey dovey. Think about locations, dress wear and colours. Deffo think about bring props like a blanket, a bottle of bubbly etc. They give your hands something to do and can create proper good images :-)

What's your photography style?

My style is to be as candid and authentic as I can. I love the unexpected photos that I manage capture. For me capturing genuine emotion from all your wedding guests really tells your story in the best way possible.

What's your editing style?

My editing style is minor touch ups and straightening images from my wonky eyes. The overall colour tone is light but with slightly de-saturated blues and greens. I have a hint of a peach undertone giving a warm feeling to the image. All this but I love black & white. You'll see may favs in a classic black & white vibe.

Do you have backups?

I always use two cameras, both of which has two memory card slots making a duplicate of each other paired with many spare batteries. As soon as I arrive home that evening I then back up the RAW files to my pc and a separate hard drive giving me a total of four locations where your images are saved. Once your photos are delivered to you I then delete the RAW files and save a copy of the final image set. I always recommend to my couples that you also create a back up just in case.

What do you like best about a wedding day?

I absolutely love the whole day! I really enjoy seeing everyone in such a great vibe celebrating your day. The food plays a big part of it too ;-)

I love creating beautiful images, documenting your day but the best time is golden hour for me. Grabbing you both in that lush golden light and creating something stunning is my goal.

Do you do group shots?

Taking a mainly candid approach to my images I much prefer story telling in a documentary style but I know how important group and especially family photos can be so I am only too happy to organise this. All I ask is that you have a person or two who is louder than me to rally up the troops and shout their names when needed, fingers crossed they know everybody there.

Are you insured?

Yes. I have full professional insurance.

Does it matter if you haven't worked at my venue before?

Absolutely not. I love seeing new venues and going to new places that I've never been. I will always do my research of your venue prior to your wedding so that I am as best prepared as I can be.

How long do we have to wait for our photos?

This depends on how busy I am but I do aim to have them delivered to you within 10 weeks. Chances are it's sooner than this but in peak months we are all much busier so I allow myself some grace.

What happens if you're ill on our wedding day?

The good news is that I've never been ill on a wedding day before. In fact I am very rarely ill but if the worst was to happen I would either sweat it out or worst case I would find an alternative photographer. I am part of a lovely group on Facebook where recommendations and help is always to hand. They're a great bunch.

Do you offer albums?

Oh yes!! The bespoke hand made fine art albums truly are magical. I have sample albums to show you and you have an endless list of personalisation options to choose from. This really will be the best book you'll ever own.

This all sounds great! What are your prices?

I love to hear it. You can find all my info here

I want to book you! How do I find out your availability and get booked in?

This is the best news I could hear from couples. You can get in touch with me here by filling out my contact page. I'll respond as soon as I can. Remember to check your junk/spam just in case and follow me on socials. You can also reach me on those too!
