How I work to capture your beautiful wedding day...
Once you’ve found me (and I’m always interested on how you’ve done so) and had a look round my website, feel free to get in touch via my contact form or directly via email . Firstly, I would require some basic information to see whether I’d be available for your date and to hear how your plans are going so far.
This is an important stage for me and my couples, it means we have an excuse for a coffee and a brownie but also to chat in person, talk about your day and view some of my work. I take notes of details, timings and important people included in your day so that if you book me, I’d be prepared.
If you do decide to book with me, we’ll go through all the fine details and information you have at that time to make sure I can be as up to date as I can be. We’ll continue talking throughout the months leading up to your wedding so if there’s any questions you have, I’m always here. At the time of reading and signing my contract, I ask for a 20% deposit to secure your date with the remaining balance due eight weeks before your big day.
As part of booking me for your wedding, an engagement shoot is included. You don’t have to feel obliged to do this but this is a great opportunity to get to know each other better and a chance for me capture some close intimate moments, whether it’s along the beach, in the woods or in a field whilst having fun. This will also relax you on your big day knowing that you’re in good hands!
You can request a special location that means something to you both (maybe where you got engaged) or I can suggest some local areas in and around Norwich.
All these images will be processed and delivered via an online gallery for you to download, save and share with your friends and family.
Eight weeks before your wedding day, I will send a polite payment reminder if you haven’t already paid. If you have, we’re all good and I look forward to seeing you on the date!
At this point we will be emailing as much as we need to make sure we have discussed everything, if not this is the time for me to receive final timings of your day, start times, ceremony, first dance etc and also a last chance for any family must have photos. I prefer a candid approach to photography, but parents will be parents and will want that mantel piece photo which I am only too happy to capture!
Your wedding day
Here we are, the big day has arrived! I’m looking forward to it as much as you are!
The first place for me to arrive at will be the bridal prep location. This is where the prosecco will be flowing, lots of laughter and of course friends and family. I love these images as it’s a chance for your partner to see how your day started. I’m unobtrusive but remember I’m there to answer any questions you have, encouragement or just a smile to make you feel relaxed.
The day will unfold seamlessly and will be a joy to witness. After the ceremony when you both walk back down the aisle, we’ll go off for a cool down and some fresh images of the newlyweds! This is a very relaxed walk somewhere away from everybody to take a breath and to capture the emotion of being in love or maybe just to jump around and let loose!
After this we'll head back to your friends and family where you can enjoy a drink and enjoy the surroundings of your beautiful venue until the wedding breakfast. I'll capture the moment you're introduced into the room as the new married couple! I know, it's strange to hear it for the first few times. This is where I'll then take a break for lunch and a refreshing drink. The host will grab me before your speeches as this is an emotional moment I love to catch. Depending on the time of year this is where I'll take some group shots if required.
At some point in the evening after all the dancing and cake cutting, I’ll come find you to see if there’s any more I can help with, if not then it’s time for me to say goodbye and let you enjoy the rest of your day with your loved ones.
When I return home the first thing I do is back up all of your images onto my PC and external hard drives. I know how precious these images are.
I’m always here if there’s anything else you wish to talk about. We can chat about prints and even a gorgeous lay flat wedding photo album. In this digital age we live in, there’s nothing quite like holding and feeling a real product. Real material, real paper, real images! I’d recommend taking some time to enjoy your images and in time let me know what your favourites are. I’ll come back with a choice of finishes such as leather, leatherette and linen along with the available colours in each material for you to choose exactly how you’d like it to look and feel. I’ll then design a stunning album, send you a draft proof copy and supply you with prices. Hopefully from seeing it on screen you’ll be ordering and holding one for you to treasure for the rest of your lives.
Processing your wedding photography
Editing is the biggest part of being a wedding photographer which clients never see. First I cull through all the images taken to select only the best that I feel documents your day perfectly. Each one is processed in my style with subtle changes. I love black and white photos so you can expect to see some in your collection. I deliver the colour image along with a black and white version.
All the final images are then exported from my software in a social media sized image that’s perfect for sharing and then uploaded to an online gallery for you to download straight away and share amongst your friends and family. I will email you all the information you’ll need to access them and to hand out passwords for the lucky chosen ones.
These, along with full high-resolution images (perfect for printing), will be delivered on a USB key in a contemporary style display box. I aim to have this completed and delivered within eight weeks from your wedding day.

I recognise that you’ve been dreaming of and planning your wedding day for a long time. It’s very important to me that you feel in control of your day and not being directed by your photographer. That’s why I love candid, un-posed and a relaxed style of photography. For me this means I can catch those raw emotive moments that would otherwise be missed, creating a beautifully documented story of your day.
I’m Craig, a wedding photographer based in Norwich, Norfolk and I’d love to have the opportunity to be a part of your special day.
