Scarborough Hill Country Inn. What a beautiful location just outside Norwich near North Walsham.
Set in tranquil beautiful North Norfolk country grounds in the Norfolk Broads we were blessed to have awesome weather for Amy & Ashley's wedding. The cloud cover was welcomed as it defused the light all day, essentially a massive soft box. I much prefer this light as full sun is quite harsh and as their ceremony was held in an orangery it made for the best lighting. Later on in the afternoon the sun broke out just at the perfect time for us to go for a wonder for some photos. The front of Scarborough Hill has a lovely road leading you up to the venue with a gorgeous little bench on the garden canopied by trees. Opposite this is the play area, this was a must to have a play on with it's kiddies castle and slides. Grabbed some prince and princess shots here. We're all big kids really :-)
Behind the carpark held a little gem that I wasn't aware of until we got there. A perfect straw bale field presented itself and was just asking for us to get some shots. The light here was just A*. I absolutely love golden hour for shots, the soft light as the sun goes down is a must for me to take advantage of.
Now... the evening dance moves. This has to be the best first dance/opening dance party I have ever seen. It all started as traditional as you can get, couples first dance then a beautiful mother/son and father/daughter dance. That was were the traditional part ended. It all started of with a little "Inbetweeners" dancing which soon spiralled out of control to a full on dance off. Now I mean Run DMC style, chanting, raving, the best man broke out the worm then full whack break dancing was on the floor. The vibe was so mental and hyped it was incredible to capture. I was buzzing as were all the guests. The dance floor was packed all night from here on.
It was such a wicked day finished with the best party ever!
